Serbia and Croatia will sign a military cooperation agreement

Serbia and Croatia will soon sign a military cooperation agreement, which will allow officers and soldiers from either of the countries to take part as observers or as active participants in military drills of the other army.

The agreement will not include joint military drills. The Defence Minister of Serbia – Dragan Šutanovac, and his Croatian counterpart – Branko Vukelić will sign the agreement during an official visit of Šutanovac in Croatia. The exact date of the visit has not yet been determined, but according to Croatian media, the agreement would most probably be signed this year.

The agreement will include cooperation in the areas of security policy, defence planning, peacekeeping operations, defence from nuclear, biological, and chemical weapons, among other areas of joint interest. The agreement would not include exchange of information.
