Bulgaria-Romania bridge over Danube to be finished by Nov 2012

The construction of a second bridge between Bulgaria and Romania over the Danube will be finished by November 2012, the Bulgarian government announced.

The bridge between Bulgaria’s Vidin and Romania’s Calafat is being made by the Spanish company FCC and was inspected Monday by Bulgarian Transport Minister Ivaylo Moskovski and EU Funds Minister Tomislav Donchev.

Moskovski reminded that the governments of Bulgaria and Romania will set up a joint venture to manage Danube Bridge 2.

So far, 72% of the bridge and 88% of the adjacent infrastructure have been completed.
