IMF starts new review mission in Romania

The International Monetary Fund and the European Union embarked on a new review of Romania’s economic reforms Tuesday, under a stand-by agreement concluded in March 2011.

Wages were slashed by 25 percent in July 2010, when Romania was reeling from the effects of a severe recession.
