Pakistan pledges support for UN peace and stability efforts
Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday said that Pakistan will continue its support to UN efforts for peace and stability in the world.
In a meeting with United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon in Dushanbe, the premier said that Pakistan is the largest contributor in UN peace missions. He said that role in UN peace
contingents is an important part of Pakistan’s foreign policy.
He added that Pakistan is following zero tolerance policy against terrorism.
The meeting between UN Secretary General and Sharif came on the sidelines of the International Conference on Water for Life in Dushanbe that was hosted by Tajikistan in pursuance of the UN resolution, which was co-sponsored by Pakistan.
