Lake Chad: 11 civilians wounded in a suicide attack by Boko Haram

Eleven civilians were wounded Sunday morning by a suicide attack with explosives elements of Nigerian Islamist group Boko Haram in the region of Lake Chad, the Chadian government announced in a statement.
“Two elements of Boko Haram have been neutralized, a third blew himself up, wounding 11 civilians,” announced the statement, adding that the attack struck a post in the Chadian army Bougouma, home to military and civilian, in the Lake Chad region.
A second attack took place on Sunday against another Chadian military post in the same region of Lake Chad, Kaika, but this time, it is “11 elements of Boko Haram killed” by the Chadian army, the statement .
The government says the situation is now “under control” and did not give other details.
A triple bombing on October 10 committed by suicide bombers from Boko Haram in Baga Sola, one of the main Chadian towns of Lake Chad had resulted in 41 dead and 48 wounded, according to the Chadian government. Tens of thousands of Nigerian refugees and displaced Chadians have found refuge in this city in recent months fleeing abuses by Boko Haram on the islands of the lake or in neighboring Nigeria.
