Algeria's CMA calls to speed up implementation of Peace Agreement in Mali

ALGIERS- The Secretary General of the Coordination of Azawad Movements (CMA), Bilal Ag Acharif called Monday in Algiers to speed up the implementation of the Peace and Reconciliation Agreement in Mali.
“We should work at faster pace for the implementation of the Agreement. We didn’t come here to put the responsibility of the delay in the implementation of the Agreement down to anyone, as the only beneficiaries are our enemies,” said Ag Acharif at the high-level consultative meeting of the Agreement’s Implementation Monitoring Committee.
He also hailed Algeria’s efforts in the peace process in Mali and the role of President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika in the implementation of the Peace Agreement.
Ag Acharif underlined CMA’s commitment to cooperating with the Monitoring Committee. “We have made commitments that we must fulfil,” he said.
“We will spare no effort to support the new head of the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) and UN Secretary General’s Special Representative for Mali, Mahamat Salah Annadif,” he said, underlining the importance of “trust” in the implementation of the Peace and Reconciliation Agreement in Mali.
