Tunisia’s Prime Minister Youssef Chahed on Wednesday arrived in Khartoum for an official two-day visit to Sudan during which he is to hold talks with his Sudanese counterpart Bakri Hassan Saleh.

Sudan’s Foreign Minister Ibrahim Ghandour said that the two countries’ prime ministers would hold joint talks which “would review a number of files, while a number of agreements would be signed on Thursday.”

Chahed headed a delegation including ministers of agriculture and transport, state minister of foreign affairs and some officials in the Tunisian government, said the minister.

The Tunisian official would chair his country’s side in meeting of the joint higher ministerial committee to be held on Thursday.

Chahed is also scheduled on Thursday to deliver a written message to Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir from his Tunisian counterpart.
