Algeria reaffirms desire to continue exceptional partnership with France

Algerian President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika reaffirmed Algeria’s readiness to continue to build an exceptional partnership with France, while hailing dense political dialogue between both countries, in a message of congratulations to his French counterpart François Hollande on the occasion of the French National Day.
“The celebration of the French National Day offers me the nice opportunity to extend to you, in the name of Algerian people and government and on behalf of my personal name, our warmest congratulations, accompanied by the best wishes of health and happiness for yourself, as well as lasting prosperity for the French people,” wrote President Bouteflika in his message.
On that occasion, “I praise the quality of the relations of friendship and cooperation between our two countries which are bound by values and shared interests. I would like to continue, with you, the work of building special partnership of which we, together, laid the basics, during your remarkable state visit to Algeria in December 2012,” added the Head of State.
The president has particularly welcomed “the intensity of the political dialogue between our two countries that reinforces regular our exchanges and consultations at various levels,” noting that “this promising dialogue is marked with our commitment to wisely address all the issues in a spirit of mutual trust and understanding, to promote convergence of positions and approaches on the major issues of our time.”
