The first round of Mali’s legislative elections will be held on Nov. 24, according to the government. The date was unveiled at the end of a cabinet meeting chaired by President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita, an official statement said.

The international community should provide more aid to help Lebanon allocate Syrian refugees, Lebanese caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati said Wednesday. “The international community must take its responsibility towards Lebanon, given that the latter has become the first hosting country,” Mikati said.

Several presidents from Africa and elsewhere have arrived in the Malian capital Bamako to participate in the swearing-in ceremony of newly elected President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita. The presidential inauguration is set to take place on Thursday at the March 26 Stadium in Bamako.
