European Parliament (EP) Rapporteur for Kosovo Ulrike Lunacek says the president should be elected directly by citizens, in order to avoid any kind of pressure in parliament, Radio Free Europe reported on Sunday

The second mission of the European Commission (EC) will start its work in Belgrade on Monday. Its members will analyze Serbia’s answers to the EC questionnaire delivered to Brussels on January 31. 

Starting March 1, facilitated visa regime between Georgia and EU will take effect, according to Nino Kalandadze, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Georgia. As he stated, Georgia welcomes the fact, considering it as a political statement on EU’s staying true to its principles with regards to Georgia.
