The Serbian government has denied claims it is attempting to prepare the public for a withdrawal of its proposed UN resolution on Kosovo’s declaration of independence.

Bosnia-Herzegovina FM Sven Alkalaj stated on Thursday that, by the end of this year, this country could submit the application for EU candidate status.

Audio tapes found in General Ratko Mladic’s Belgrade home reportedly contain secret recordings made by him of conversations with other officals, in a development that may affect ongoing trials at the Hague Tribunal.
