Iranian government spokesman here Tuesday said his county participated in talks with the US in a bid to support the Iraqi government, and stressed that Tehran would continue aids and assistance with the Iraqi government until the achievement of final results.

Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki is due to leave Tehran for Moscow Tuesday night.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad praised the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) for its relentless efforts to fight terrorist groups which, he said, are supported by certain western countries.
