Chairman of Iran’s State Expediency Council Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani in a meeting with South Korea’s ambassador to Tehran here on Monday called on Seoul to bolster participation in Iran’s economic plans.

Iran’s top nuclear negotiator Ali Larijani called on the western countries to give up their preconditions for the resumption of talks with the Islamic Republic.

Since the western side has given up its preconditions and demands negotiations under a peaceful atmosphere, Larijani and Solana may reach an agreement in their Wednesday talks, Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman Seyed Mohammad Ali Hosseini said here on Monday.
