“In response to American nation’s call, I will soon send a message to them. The message is now at the preparatory stages,” Ahmadinejad said in his fourth press conference since he took office fifteen months ago.

Asked to comment on the defeat of the Republican party in the recent US midterm legislative elections and its possible effects on that country’s policies in the face of Iran, the president said, “This was not a defeat just for Bush, rather it was a failure of the US in confronting the world nations. It was a defeat of the US unilateral policies, aggressions, bullying behavior and humiliation of the nations, which are crystal clear in the different policies of the US administration and which have also humiliated the American nation.”

“Those who have ascended to power through marginal votes should not think that they are free to do whatever they wish,” he stressed, while reiterating that the behavior of the US administration is in no way attributable to the American nation.

The Iranian president also warned US Democrats not to following suit, saying that if Democrats decide to follow the path of the Bush administration, “they will receive a slam by the world nations and they will be destined to failure”.

Asked why Iran accepts to attend interviews with US media while US officials refrain from answering Iranian media and journalists, Ahmadinejad underlined, “They are afraid of freelance, and independent journalists and media.”

Meantime, he promised to follow up on the case to remove the problem.
