Libyan FM in Egypt for security talks

imgCAIRO: Libyan Foreign Minister Mohamed al-Dairi of the internationally recognized government arrived in Cairo on Tuesday in the United Arab Emirates to present the latest developments in Libya.
The government based in Tobruk and Cairo have called for the lifting of an arms embargo on the Libyan army. Egypt has also warned against the delay in the signing of a final political agreement between the Libyan parties in conflict having been approved a month ago.
“Egypt expected that the United Nations and influential countries would encourage the parties in western Libya to begin the implementation of the agreement by which a national unity government is formed , instead of waiting for dilatory parties who may see an interest in blocking the implementation of the political agreement, “read the statement.
On July 11, the UN Special Envoy for Libya Bernardino León announced that the parties Libyan conflict had agreed to a project for a final agreement after long negotiations held in the Moroccan city of Skhirat.
Libyan political factions, except the Islamic government based in Tripoli, initialed a peace agreement to end the bloody conflict in Libya which was divided between the two governments. The draft stipulates that the new unity government must be formed and the legislative authority of the country will be responsible to the House of Representatives elected in the Libyan city of Tobruk.
