TEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- Tunisian Ambassador to Tehran expressed his country’s enthusiasm for the development of economic cooperation with Iran and stressed the need for further interaction by the two countries in economic and trade spheres.
A statement by the public relations department of the Commerce Ministry said that Tunisian Ambassador to Iran Moledi al-Sakeri met with the Iranian Commerce Minister Mir Kazemi on Wednesday to discuss boosting of economic ties and bolstering of cooperation.During the meeting, the Tunisian diplomat viewed increase in the commercial performance and trade balance of the two states among the important issues deserving attention when discussing promotion of bilateral ties, and further stressed that facilitation of customs tariffs and settlement of the related problems as well as endorsement of preferred agreements could play an essential role in the betterment and development of the existing ties.He also noted the two countries’ direct banking cooperation, encouragement of investment and endorsement of agreements in areas of industry, commerce and tourism for the expansion of economic activities and underlined the significance of organizations and private sectors for making investments in a variety of industries such as tourism, petrochemicals and auto-manufacturing.
The Tunisian ambassador also pointed to the desirable status of his country in the European and north-African markets and called on Iran to have a share of the stable and secure markets of his country in order for the Iranian products to be able to be exported to the neighboring regions.
