979 US and 216 Puppet Troops Terminated in Iraqi Anbar Provice in July Alone

A report published in the Washington Post concerning U.S. Marine intelligence Col. Pete Devlin assessing a dire state in al-Anbar governorate and prospects dim for improvement, is cited by the Mujahideen Shura Council in Iraq in a statement issued on September 14, 2006. The group believes this message by an U.S. official to be a revelation of acceptance of true losses in the War in Iraq, and states: “Now it is usual that everyday we hear on the networks about killing an American soldier west of Iraq. I wish I knew which soldier they are talking about. Their monthly losses by the hands of Tawhid Lions are counted by the hundreds”.

The group presents a Collective Report on the losses inflicted upon the American and puppet  forces in al-Anbar for the Islamic month of Jumada al-Thani this year, corresponding approximately from the end of June through the end of July. A  total of 979 American infidels and 216 members of the puppet “Iraqi national guard” were killed during this time, and those injured number in the hundreds. This figure does not count those killed or injured by mortar shelling. The Mujahideen Shura Council then breaks the numbers down by type of attack, and lists the numbers of vehicles destroyed and damaged.
