Ahmadinejad Stresses Importance of Muslim Progress

A0218131.jpgTEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad stressed that his country attaches special significance to the progress of the Islamic states, voicing Tehran’s preparedness to transfer its experiences to Comoros in all the various grounds.

According to a statement released by the Presidential Press Office, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad met with his Comoros counterpart Ahmad Abdullah Sambi in New York on Wednesday on the sidelines of the 61st UN General Assembly.

During the meeting, Ahmadinejad stressed that Iran is ready to transfer its experiences to all the Muslim states, specially in economic, industrial, agricultural and energy grounds.

Noting Iran’s enthusiasm for expanding cooperation with African states, he reiterated that close cooperation between Asian and African states, specially the Muslim ones, facilitates their development and progress.

For his part, Comoros President Ahmad Abdullah Sambi briefed Ahmadinejad about the latest conditions of his country and called for the transfer of Iran’s experiences and achievements to his country, specially in the areas of development and construction.
