President: Enemies Seek to Block Iran’s Progress

Addressing a large and fervent congregation of the public in Savojbolagh town in the vicinity of Tehran, Ahmadinejad pointed to the different cases where the enemies have rocked the boat to stop Iran’s progress and stated, “When in New York, an individual pointed to the US worries about Iran’s access to nuclear weapons and called on us to stop our nuclear activities. But I told him that the US administration started assassinating our people, imposing economic sanctions on us and waging a war (through Saddam’s regime) on the Iranian people long before anything called nuclear technology and power became an issue for us.”

He stressed the need for global peace and justice, but meantime underscored that Iran may never give up even an iota of its rights, reminding that Iranians have opted for the path of knowledge and awareness.

The chief executive official pointed out that the enemies may not break through Iranians’ solidarity, adding, “They dream to stop us through their tight collaboration with the local agents who seek power, but they should realize that it is a totally wrong picture they have portrayed for themselves.”

“Our nation is prepared and will head on in the path of progress and glory. And as long as our nation maintains its solidarity and coordination, Iran will witness more victories,” he continued.
