Russian Base Attacked in Northern Chechnya

Chechen Mujahideen armed with subbarrel grenade launchers attacked a Russian occupation base in the Kargalinovskya village in the district of Shelkovskaya late Thursday, October 5, 2006, according to Russian media.    

No casualties were mentioned in Russian reports. As of press time, Kavkaz Center received no information about this attack from its Chechen sources.   

Recently Chechen Mujahideen strongly increased their operations in northern Chechnya according to Chechen reports.
