According to a statement released by the Iranian Foreign Ministry’s Information and Press Bureau, Per Stig Moller made the remarks in a phone conversation with his Iranian counterpart Manouchehr Mottaki on Tuesday.
The top diplomat further stressed that the Danish Premier has also described the measure as unacceptable and improper.
He also pointed out that the airing of the video clips by the Danish TV has meant to criticize the improper behavior and deeds of the same group of youth.
For his part, Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki welcomed strong condemnation by the Danish Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of the recent insults to the sanctities of Moslems, and stressed, “The recent insults have aroused strong anger of the Iranian people, students, religious centers and schools, specially considering that this was the second time sacrilege of the most sacred beliefs and values of Muslims took place in Denmark.”
He stressed the sensitiveness of the issue and warned his counterpart about the consequences of such events.
Mottaki also mentioned that some Zionist centers are involved in such anti-Islamic moves.
The Iranian Foreign Minister called on his Danish counterpart to make his optimum efforts to stop such cheap moves and actions.
