IAU is an affiliate of UNESCO, which was established in 1950 and aims to develop the scientific and cultural exchanges among the world universities.
The IAU board of directors convenes once a year at one of the member universities to compile new rules and regulations to develop relations among the world universities and to adopt relevant decisions about higher education.
Chairman of Iran’s Islamic Azad University is among the IAU board members who have convened in China this year to develop academic communications and relations among its 150 members.
