Leader Appoints New Air Force Commander

TEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei appointed Brigadier General Ahmad Miqani as the new commander of the Islamic Republic air force here on Saturday.

Addressing Captain Miqani, the Leader has said in his decree, “As recommended by the commander-in-chief of the Islamic Republic army and taking into account your valuable experiences and dedication, I hereby assign you as the new commander of the Islamic Republic Air Force.”

“It is hoped that the combat and defense capabilities of the country will be raised by the dedicated and efficient staff of the air force,” he continued.

The Leader also appreciated the efforts of the former air force commander, Karim Qavami, and wished everybody success in his endeavors.
