Haddad Adel Confers with Cambodian Vice-Speaker

TEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- Iranian Parliament Speaker Gholam Ali Haddad Adel met with the Vice-Speaker of Cambodia’s parliament here on Tuesday.

During the meeting, Haddad Adel appreciated presence of the Cambodian parliamentary delegation in the 7th Conference of the General Assembly of the Association of Asian Parliaments for Peace (AAPP) in Tehran, and noting that country’s share in the growth of the Assembly of Asian Parliaments, stressed the role of Cambodia in the success of the Asian body.

He further expressed pleasure with the establishment of peace and stability in that country, and expressed the hope that Cambodia would experience further growth and development both internally and on the scene of international relations.

For his part, Vice-Speaker of the Cambodian parliament, Negonen Nehel appreciated the Islamic Consultative Assembly for hosting the conference, and assessed as effective the role of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the progress of the Association of the Asian Parliaments.

The lawmaker further expressed the hope that the two countries’ cooperation would further develop through increased contacts by the two sides’ officials.
