Quake Hits Central Iran

A00905683.jpgTEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- An earthquake measuring 3.6 on the Richter scale jolted Firouz Abad in Iran’s central province of Fars Wednesday morning.

The seismological base of Fars province registered the quake at 10:23 hours local time (06:53 GMT).

There are yet no reports on the likely number of casualties or damage to properties.

Hectic fault lines have made Iran a host to frequent earthquakes of varying degrees in magnitude.
