TEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- An Iranian MP said here on Wednesday that the United States is seeking to misuse the concerns of some dependent Arab statesmen so as to provoke them into hostility and violence against Iran and Muslim Shiites.
Speaking to FNA, member of the Iranian parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Reza Talayee Nik viewed solidarity as the most important and strategic need of the Muslim world under the present conditions.
“Considering the efforts made by the world arrogance and Zionism to secure their illegitimate interests in the regional and Muslim states and taking into account the developments of the recent years, unity is the only way to encounter and defuse aliens’ plots and conspiracies,” he stressed.
The lawmaker further termed as thoughtful and intelligent the recent warning by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei about the urgent need for the consolidation of Muslim unity and the necessity of waging campaign against the plots and conspiracies hatched by the world arrogance and Zionism to sow discord among the world Muslims.
“Following their defeats and failure of their plots in the last few years, the United States and Israel have now put to priority, their conventional plots for sowing seeds of discord among Muslims in a bid to foment tension among Islamic countries,” he continued.
The representative of Bahar and Kaboudar Ahang at the Islamic Consultative Assembly further pointed out that the political and military defeats of the US in Iraq and Afghanistan and the failure of the Zionist regime of Israel in Lebanon have made the aforesaid two to give up direct intervention and resort to indirect methods to find a gap to influence the political, security and economic fate of the region.
“Injection of illogical concerns into the dependent and semi-dependent governments of the region about Shiites’ activities and achievements and Iran’s peaceful civilian nuclear technology coupled with provoking religious radicals are all aimed at deepening differences and deteriorating religious conflicts, which they combine with political tensions and proper grounds for the extension of insecurities and terrorist attacks along with continued and extensive psychological operations through their affiliated media. All these constitute one of the serious methods practiced by the US, Israel and Britain against the regional countries and Muslims,” he pointed out.
The lawmaker called on all Muslims, specially elites and politicians, to resort to thoughtful and intelligent dialogues and talks in order to prevent such plots from being practiced.
He further pointed to the role of Saudi Arabia in sowing discord among the Muslim Shiites and Sunnites and deteriorating violence in Iraq as well as its negative stances in the face of the Lebanese 33-day resistance against the Zionist regime, and called on the Islamic Republic officials to give a serious warning to the Saudi government against its negative and provocative role which leads into discord among Muslims.
