Heads of Persian Gulf Littoral States Due in Tehran

Heads of several Persian Gulf littoral states are scheduled to arrive here in Tehran in the near future to confer with senior Iranian officials about issues of the region, world of Islam and the international community. Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa al-Khalifa and Kuwaiti Emir Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jabir al-Sabah are among these heads of state.

Meantime, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is also due to take a tour of the regional countries, specially those on the southern coasts of the Persian Gulf, to discuss bilateral ties and exchange views about the issues of the Muslim world and the international community.

Ahmadinejad is due to leave Tehran for the Saudi capital city of Riyadh this afternoon to confer with senior Saudi officials about regional, international and Muslim world issues.

Tehran has been host to many high ranking officials from regional countries in recent months, including Qatari Emir, Syrian President, Palestine Prime Minister, Afghan President, Pakistani President, Turkish Prime Minister and Iraqi President and Prime Minister.
