Berri Pleased with Ahmadinejad’s Visit to Riyadh

Lebanese Parliament Speaker in Beirut on Monday said that Iranian President Ahmadinejad’s talks in Riyadh speak of the settlement of the political crisis in Lebanon within the next 48 hours. Nabih Berri voiced pleasure in what he described as crucially important talks between Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Saudi King Abdallah bin Abd al-Aziz Al Saud in Riyadh, and announced, “The crisis in Lebanon is going to be solved within the next 48 hours, and we will soon witness restoration of normal conditions and formation of a national unity government” in Lebanon.

Meantime, a majority of Lebanese media on Monday said that Ahmadinejad’s visit to Saudi Arabia promises an end to the crisis in Lebanon.

Political analysts believe that the dead silence shown by the radical March 14th coalition in Lebanon indicates the state of confusion and a deep gap in the views held by the coalition leaders.
