Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization (IAEO) here in Tehran on Tuesday dismissed the recent claims made by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) director General Mohammed ElBaradei about suspension of Iran’s uranium enrichment activities. The Associated Press Tuesday quoted ElBaradei as saying that Iran has suspended its uranium enrichment activities.
The IAEO’s public relations rejected the alleged reports about Iran’s nuclear activities, and said that enrichment is continuing at Natanz nuclear facility in accordance with specified plans and schedules.
“No change has occurred in this plan,” IAEO reiterated.
“Enrichment is continuing under the IAEA inspections, and there is a possibility that the Associated Press has made a mistake when compiling or releasing the news,” the Iranian Atomic Energy Organization concluded.
