Gov’t Defends Rights of Iranian Citizens Everywhere in World

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said that the Iranian government supports Iranian nationals residing abroad and defends their rights everywhere in the world.

Speaking at a meeting of the High Council of Iranians Residing Abroad here in Tehran on Saturday, Ahmadinejad stressed the need for all executive bodies to strive to reinvigorate their relations with the Iranian citizens who reside in different parts of the world.

He further reiterated the need for the removal of the problems faced by Iranians abroad, and said, “Iranians who are residing abroad should know that they belong to Iran and the Iranian government supports them.”

“Aliens should know that the Islamic Republic government decisively defends the rights of all Iranians,” the president continued.
