President Calls on Britain to Apologize to Iran

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, in a phone conversation with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Friday, stressed that Britain should apologize to Iran for having trespassed the territorial waters of Iran.

During the phone talk which took place at the initiative of Erdogan, Ahmadinejad called on London to extend its apologies to Tehran for trespassing Iran’s borders.

Erdogan, for his part, viewed London’s policies on Iran as wrong, and demanded a meeting between the Turkish ambassador to Tehran and the British marines in a bid to remove any ambiguities or uncertainties existing in this regard.

The Iranian president said Erdogan’s demand would be studied through a positive view.
