President Stresses Expansion of Ties with Far East

A01231916.jpgIranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said that development of relations with all the world states, including those in the Far East and Oceania, sets a definite policy for his country.Addressing a meeting of Iran’s ambassadors to the Far East and Oceania here in Tehran on Wednesday, Ahmadinejad stressed enthusiasm of the Islamic Republic for expanding ties with all countries, specially those in the Far East and Oceania based on mutual respect, principles of mutual acceptance, justice and spirituality.

“When dealing with foreign policy, showing respect and paying attention to the humane principles and nature, specially man’s instinctive tendency towards justice, would increase willingness of the different countries for expanding relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran,” he said.

Pointing to the abundant potentials and capabilities available in the Far East and Oceania, the president called on the envoys not to suffice to the general identification of the potentials of the places where they have been sent on a mission and gain detailed information about the various capabilities of the countries of their mission in such areas as economy, industry, medical science and technology in a bid to pave the way for the expansion of Iran’s relations with the said states.

He further referred to the necessity for detailed planning for establishing relations with the different countries, and stressed the need for the formation of a headquarters for the expansion of relations with the Oceanic and Far Eastern countries, arrangement of regular meetings for Iran’s ambassadors and envoys in the said regions and foreign ministry’s support for Iran’s ambassadors to the Far East and Oceania.
