Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said that after each resolution passed by the UN Security Council his country would display a new achievement in the field of nuclear technology. “You can issue another resolution if you are keen to see the new achievements of the Iranian nation,” Ahmadinejad told western states while addressing a large crowd of the residents in the central city of Kazeroon during the first leg of his tour of Fars province on Monday.
He further called on the bullying powers to give up obduracy and admit the world realities, saying, “The Iranian nation is asking for an end to monopolies and they are demanding recognition of the rights of all nations.”
Concerning Iran’s nuclear issue and West’s efforts to thwart Iran’s progress in the field of nuclear technology, Ahmadinejad said, “They imagine that they can stop our nation by holding meetings and passing resolutions.”
“They issued a resolution once and witnessed how Iran launched operation of the nuclear fuel cycle, they issued a second one and observed Iran entered the production of nuclear fuel at industrial scale. Now if they issue another resolution, the Iranian nation will display its new achievements to them,” he continued.
“They have the experience that they cannot deter the Iranian nation or undermine its resolve through pressures and propaganda. They imagine that they can sow discord among the united Iranian nation, but they are again making a mistake. They imposed sanctions on us for 20 years and they witnessed how we grew into a nuclear power. If they continue their present plots, they will see what other achievements Iran will display,” the president said.
