Mottaki will Attend Sharm el-Sheik Meeting

A02237766.jpgIranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki will attend the upcoming security talks on Iraq in the Egyptian Red Sea resort town of Sharm el-Sheik, the ministry spokesman said here on Sunday. “Following frequent demands made during meetings between Iraqi officials and Iranian President Ahmadinejad, a senior delegation headed by Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki has been decided to attend the conference in Egypt in an effort to help Iraqi people and government,” Seyed Mohammad Ali Hosseini told FNA.

The Sharm el-Sheik meeting will be attended by Iraq’s other neighbors, plus Bahrain and Egypt, as well as delegates from the five permanent member states of the UN Security Council as well as the G-8 industrialized nations including Japan, Canada and Germany.
