Cleric Stresses National Struggle against Enemy Plots

Tehran’s Interim Friday Prayers Leader Ayatollah Mohammad Emami Kashani said that the Islamic and Iranian culture play a vital role in the campaign against corruption. “Production of the movie ‘300’, release of cartoons which insulted Islam and Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), and blocking Iran’s access to hi-tech are all aimed at prevailing corruption in the Iranian and Muslim community to prevent further progress of Iranian and Muslim nations,” the cleric said while addressing a large congregation of worshippers on Tehran University Campus here today.

Noting the United States’ crimes in Iraq and the massacre of the innocent civilians in that country, he said, “These are the occupiers who do not care about killing human beings, but they allege that Islam and Iran are violent.”

“Pages of history are filled with their dishonor, disgrace and scandals while Iranians have displayed piety and humanity all throughout the era following the Islamic Revolution in Iran,” the cleric reiterated.
