Quake Hits Southern Iran

An earth tremor measuring 3.4 on the Richter scale jolted the city of Khonj in Iran’s southern province of Fars on Saturday.The seismological base of Shiraz affiliated to the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University registered the quake at 09:48 hours local time (06:18 GMT).

No reports have yet been received on the possible number of casualties or damage to properties by the quake.
