Official Views US Blacklisting of IRGC Psychological Warfare

An Iranian military official said here on Thursday that the US efforts to label the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist group are aimed at launching a psychological war against the Islamic Republic. Head of the ideological and political department of the Law Enforcement Police Mohammad Ali Rahmani said such efforts indicate that enemies are fearful of the Islamic Republic’s power and might.

He also described Iran’s high level of security as a source of fear and concern for the enemies, saying that the entire world recognizes Iran as a powerful state.

“This is while the United States is supporting a country like Israel which has not been even recognized by 50 world states,” the official added.

“The United States is supporting a country which is well-known for its crimes and murders,” he said.

To conclude his remarks, Rahmani despised the US efforts to label the IRGC as a terrorist group, and said, “This accusation shows the glory and grandeur of Iran’s Corps and we announce that the Islamic Republic’s power and might is increasingly growing due to the preparedness of armed forces.”
