Iran, Venezuela Underline Boosting of Cooperation

A01750156.jpgIranian and Venezuelan presidents in a phone conversation Thursday night stressed the need for continued extensive cooperation between Tehran and Caracas. During the phone talk, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad reiterated the necessity for continued extensive cooperation between the two sides in all the different bilateral and global grounds.

He further noted the Venezuelan government’s efforts in promoting prosperity, welfare and progress in that country, and wished success for the Venezuelan nation.

For his part, Hugo Chavez wished honor, grandeur and success for the Iranian nation and government, and underlined the two countries’ continued cooperation in various fields.

He also assured that Venezuela would attend the upcoming summit of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) in Tehran.
