Kazakhstan’s ambassador to Tehran voiced his country’s preparedness to make investments in Iran’s different economic sectors and industries.Speaking in a meeting with Iran’s deputy economy minister and director general of Iran’s Trade Promotion Organization here on Sunday, the envoy pointed to the two countries’ abundant cooperation grounds, and said that Iran-Kazakhstan cooperation could be boosted to the ceiling of $2 bln.
He said his country’s companies are deeply eager to make investments in different economic sectors of the Islamic Republic, including Mobarakeh Steel Production Industries in the central city of Isfahan and the al-Mahdi Aluminum Production Complex in the southern port city of Bandar Abbas, after they found out that Iran intends to implement Article 44 of the Constitution – for privatization of state-owned industries and companies.
The diplomat also pointed to the proper grounds existing in his country for the activity of Iranian investors, reminding that Iranian and Kazakh investors have jointly built two steel production factories in his country.
He also pointed to an upcoming visit to Iran by his country’s road and communications minister, and said that the visit will be aimed at a follow-up to the agreements made by the two countries’ joint commission.
