Russian Company Seeks Investment in Iran Irrespective of Sanctions

Deputy Managing Director of a Russian telecommunication company voiced eagerness of his enterprise to make investments in Iran. Speaking to FNA, the official of the Russian Ultimo Company reminded that his country is not an advocate of UN Security Council sanctions against Iran as it seeks to have cordial ties with the Islamic Republic.

Reminding that Ultimo, which is the third superior company in Russia, has increased its turnover from 7 to 25 bln dollars in the last three years, he added, “Sanctions are not related to us and this is a definite policy of the Russian government.”

He further pointed out that his company has already started activity in Iran, adding, “We are studying investment opportunities in Iran.”

“The Iranian market is very good and your economy is experiencing rapid growth and development.”
