5+1 Should Help Iran, IAEA Cooperation

A009056898.jpgIranian ambassador to France has urged the 5+1 Group to provide the IAEA director-general with the opportunity to ease tensions and resolve Iran-West nuclear standoff. Commenting on France’s stance on Iran’s nuclear case, Ali Ahani asserted that Iran has repeatedly announced that its nuclear program is peaceful and that it does not pursue military ambitions.

“We have close cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and an IAEA delegation is presently in Iran to resolve the pending issues in Iran’s nuclear case,” he added.

Ahani pointed out that some European countries have criticized France’s recent stance vis-à-vis Iran’s nuclear activities.
