In search of Kosolapiy’s traces in Togliatti

Togliatti_1.jpgThe Russian authorities have distributed information saying that Pavel Kosolapiy, whom the Russian mass-media nicknamed as “Basayev’s shot-firer”, might be behind the bus explosion in city of Togliatti, Samara Province of Russia. It is claimed that similar bomb was detonated under the “Nevskiy Express” a few months ago.

Let us remind that the brigade of Shaheeds “Riyadus Salihiyn” had claimed responsibility for the blowing up the “Nevsky Express”.

 

The Russian authorities claimed that a series of attacks in Moscow and Podmoskoviye, on public transport stops in Voronezh, and at a market in Samara in the June 2004 year were carried out under the leadership of Kosolapiy, a former military academy cadet, who adopted Islam.

 

Let us remind that a transport bus exploded in the center of Togliatti city at about 8 o’clock in the morning of October 31. According to eyewitnesses, the explosion occurred in the centre of Togliatti, a city on the Volga River, as the bus was stopped at a traffic light. It was so powerful that the explosion wave not only damaged the passenger car MAZ-103 but also smashed the windows on the first and second floors of the nearby buildings.

As a result of explosion 8 people were killed and more than 50 wounded.
