Iran, Latin Countries Launch Joint Shipping Line

A031190630.jpgIran’s commerce minister here on Sunday said that the Islamic Republic and some Latin countries have decided to establish a joint shipping company to further expand economic relations. Speaking to FNA upon return from a trade assembly meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) in Cuba, Masoud Mir-Kazemi said that he and the Cuban transportation minister have embarked on signing a memorandum of understanding on the establishment of a joint shipping line between Iran and Latin America.

He further described the MoU as much important, saying that Iran’s trade relations with Latino nations would be further boosted once the said shipping line starts operation.

Mir-Kazemi said while Iranian and Cuban experts have taken the “introductory steps for the establishment of this shipping line, Tehran and Caracas are studying finalization of a similar agreement”.
