Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is scheduled to pay a daylong visit to Bahrain prior to his participation in the upcoming summit of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) in Saudi Arabia on Saturday. During the trip which will take place at the invitation of the Bahraini king, the two sides will discuss bilateral ties, sign several agreements and memoranda of understanding and exchange views about regional and Muslim issues.
The president will then leave Manama for Riyadh to attend an OPEC heads of state summit in the Saudi capital.
The two-day summit is due to open on November 17.
