Iran Reserves Support for Presidential Candidates in Lebanon

Speaking to reporters during his weekly press conference here on Sunday, Hosseini warned against foreign interventions in Lebanon’s presidential elections.

“Any kind of new intervention would cause new problems for this country,” he told reporters, underlining that the country’s problem could only be solved through a Lebanese solution.

Hosseini expressed the hope that Lebanese officials could overcome their current problems through reaching a comprehensive agreement and national consensus.
