TEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- An Iranian official warned here on Saturday that any possible attack on Iran would spark Muslim nations’ tough reaction worldwide.
Representative of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei at the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) Ali Saeedi told FNA that Iranian troops enjoy a high spirit and are capable of encountering any threat to the country.
Meantime, he viewed US invasion of Iran as rather unlikely, adding that enemies know Iranians are a highly resistant nation.
The official further pointed to countrywide military exercises by 8 million Baseeji (volunteer) troops last week, saying that the maneuvers displayed Iran’s power and high potentials.
“Due to the same point, any kind of practical threat against our country is irrational,’ he added.
“We are so much prepared and mighty that if enemies commit a mistake, they will never be able to make up for their mistake,” Saeedi warned.
Reminding Muslims’ wide support for the Lebanese Hezbollah during the Israeli invasion of Lebanon last summer, he said, “Any kind of operation against Iran would be followed by a tough and severe reaction from the side of Muslim nations in the Far East, Central Asia and such other countries as Iraq, although the defensive power and capability of our country’s armed forces suffices to response to any kind of plot and threat.”
He further described the ongoing propaganda about likely invasion of Iran as a part of West’s psychological warfare against the Islamic Republic, reiterating that such an attack is of a low possibility.
