One of Russia’s radical opposition leaders, Garry Kasparov, has been released from jail in Moscow on Thursday after serving a 5-day sentence.The chess champion was arrested on Saturday during an Opposition Protest in Moscow, together with several other people.
The rally was sanctioned by Moscow authorities. However, Kasparov and his supporters violated rules of rallying and picketing when they started an unsanctioned rally and failed to obey police demands.
Disorderly conduct broke out when protesters climbed a car.
Gary Kasparov was taken to a Moscow court that ruled on his administrative arrest.
