Russia’s Medvedev says Putin should become PM

MOSCOW (Reuters) – Dmitry Medvedev, named by President Vladimir Putin as his preferred successor, said on Tuesday that he would propose that Putin becomes prime minister in a future government.

Medvedev also made clear in a brief televised statement that his nomination was linked to the need for continuity of Putin’s policies.
