Ahmadinejad condemned the Algiers attacks and expressed his solidarity with the victims.

“These events show that we must all be more solid and more united in the face of terrorists. Those who commit such acts have understood nothing from humanity,” Ahmadinejad said.

Al-Qaeda’s Branch in the Islamic Maghreb (BAQMI) claimed responsibility for the bombings on Tuesday, in a statement published on an Islamist website.

Death tolls ranged from 31 stated by the government to 72 given by leading newspaper Al Watan.
