Iran $1bln for New Planes

A001821215.jpgTEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- Iran’s Supreme Council for Management and Economic Planning has allocated $1bln for the acquisition of new passenger aircraft.

Carriers would be obliged to provide the council with purchase statements every three months, Tehran Times said. Iran’s Road and Transportation Minister Mohammed Rahmati recently said that unlimited funds would be made available for buying new planes from the Oil Stabilization Fund.
